Dear Sir / Madam,

At this moment we are travelling in Argentina with a Toyota Landcruiser. In august we want to ship our Toyota back to Europe from Buenos Aires. We prefer to a harbour in the Netherlands but Bremerhaven, Hamburg (Germany) or Antwerpen (Belgium) is also all right.

Can you give us a price (incl. all costs in the harbours and transport insurance) for a 20 feet container shipping?

Toyota Landcruiser, Length = 5,2 meter, Width = 1,80 meter, Height = 2,20 meter, Weight = 2300 kg. Value = 16.000 euro.

We intending to arrive in Buenos Aires on the 3th of August and are flying to the Netherlands on the 17th of August. So we have 10 working days to arrange everything. We want to have the original Bill of Lading before we are flying back to the Netherlands!

Kind regards, Ko van Oldenbarneveld Anouk Bouman

Dear Ines Charpentier,

Thank you very much for your mail with all the costs for the container service. We prefer the harbour of Antwerpen! We still have a couple of questions!

Question 1 We can be in your office in Buenos Aires on Monday the 4th of august! Can our car catch the boot of 10th august or is the 15th a better idea?

Question 2 We fly back to the Netherlands on the 17th and want to have the original bill of lading before entering the plane! Is that possible?

Question 3 We think the Agency Intervention Fee is a good option. Is it still possible to be in the terminal when they are stuffing our car in the container?

Question 4 Photocopies of our pasport has to be done by the Embassy? Or do I understand this item wrong?

Question 5 We have a packing list of all the belongings inside the vehicle! But only in the English language! Is this all right or do we have to make a translation in Spanish!

We wait for your reply for the insurance info..............

Dear Ko van Oldenbarneveld & Anouk Buman,

Thank you for your below mail.

Question 1 At the moment we can only confirm your booking for the vessel Repubblica del Brasile on August 15th. the vessel for August 10th is very tight, space wise. Please consider that it will take you at least 2 to 3 working days to comply with all custom/port procedures.

Question 2 We can only issue the Bill of Lading after the vessel has loaded all cargo/sailed. The 15th is a Friday, so, if the vessel enters the port during the weekend, the documents will be ready only by Monday or Tuesday, (vessels arrival date has to be confirmed). Original Bill of Lading can also be issued by Grimaldi Lines at destination.

Question 3 Although you will have a person helping you at Customs/Harbour, you have to be present during all paper work and stuffing of the vehicle into the container. When you come to our office, we will arrange with the Port Terminal, the date and time for you to stuff the vehicle.

Question 4 For Custom purpose, you need photocopies of all pages legalized by your Embassy or a Notary Public (only the passport of the owner of the vehicle) , all pages, even the blank ones please!

Question 5 The packing list has to be in Spanish. As far as the insurance cost is concerned , we would need to know the value of the vehicle including it`s belongings. Please let us know as soon as possible if you would like to confirm your reservation.

Best regards Inés Charpentier J.E.Turner & Co

Local/port costs have to be paid in Buenos Aires or also transferred to our Bank account. The isurance of the vehicle will be 0,75 pct on the total value ( car + belongings). If you need any further information please let me know.

Dear Ines Charpentier,

We also want the insurance for the vehicle at 0,75 pct on the total value (car and belongings).

Included in this mail is also our packinglist in Spanish. Maybe you don't need it anymore at this moment, but have a quick look at it anyway if it is all right for the Customs later on!

If it is possible to pay in your office with Mastercard / Visacard we will pay for the Freight and Bunker in Buenos Aires! Otherwise we prefer paying in Antwerpen because transfering the money within Europe is easier.

Dear Ko van Oldenbarneveld & Anouk Bouman

Regarding the insurance, noted.

We are sorry but we/or the port terminal, do not take credit cards. You can pay the freight/bunker & toll at destination, rest of the local charges/terminal charges you will have to pay here in our office.

I will take a look at the packing list, presume all is in good order (the packing list is for Customs)

Best regards Inés J.E. Turner & Co.
